Today Slash posted on his Facebook page an image presenting Slashbird, a character for Angry Birds Space developed based on the guitarrist.

Slash also recorded a version for the game theme song, which you can listen to as soon as you update the app with the version that came out today at the App Store.

This cool update comes just a few days after Rovio’s YouTube teaser in which Slash talks about how the company approached him when they found out that he was a fan, and invited him to do something together.

This is pretty cool. I hope more partnerships like that come up.

Angry Birds Space is available at the App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch as well as for the iPad.
